Bay Area Vintage Base Ball plays real competitive "base ball", in a fun, friendly environment. We strive to play in the spirit of the rules, equipment uniforms, field specifications, customs, practice, language and behavioral norms of the 1880s.
Can you handle a 45 ounce bat?
Could you catch a high pop-fly with small glove with no webbing?
Could you address the umpire as "Sir"?
Could you hit a spit-ball?
We are getting set for our 2008 season.
Sign-ups are going on NOW.
We are looking for new players, ages 18-50, and even full teams, from San Francisco, the Peninsula, the South Bay, up to Oakland and the East Bay and even Santa Cruz.
